i to was one of the people who cancelled direct tv looking forward to boxee in july? aug? nope i have to wait till nov thats like half a year of waiting. Everyone in your dev team was very hush hush about it and tried to ignore our pleas. It seems once google tv was announced as a serious contender is when you finally gave a date of nov. At this point i am not pleased with your ignoring us for so long. Also theres rumors of google tv being based off android so whos to say there wont be a boxee app for it? tell me why i should buy this over google tv.

The Acer Aspire Revo is not powerful enough to run Boxee smoothly. Trust me, I have one and have tried everything to get it to work right. Streaming video from the internet is choppy. Spend the money on a mac mini.

Hi Roger,

I'll do my best to sell you the Boxee Box :)

Probably the best sales pitch I could use is the current Boxee software that you can download for free to your PC/Mac. You can install it and play with it to get a feel for what the Boxee Box will enable you to do.

The Boxee Box will provide the same feature set and will look very much like the version that you can see on the PC. The difference is that it is coming on < $200 device and a great remote.

Boxee currently does not offer DVR functionality. If you'd like to use one product to access both the Internet and Cable/Sat I would recommend a TiVo device. They are still the best option when it comes to DVR and they are doing a good job in bringing more and more Internet content.

In case you are in the market for an Internet-only Box then I would recommend waiting for the Boxee Box... ;) You can see online demos of Popbox and Roku (both good products) and decide best on the experience that you find most compelling.

Hope this help.

Regards,
Avner
