We will be unveiling the Boxee Beta in Brooklyn on December 7th. If you’re in town click here to RSVP. For those who can’t make it in person there will be a live broadcast (by Livestream) on this blog and via Boxee.
The plan is to roll out the Beta gradually till we feel confident enough to release it to the general public. We will be sending Beta invites to people attending the event, people who sign up for early access and over time to all existing alpha users.

LOL. there is also TV that makes you smarter on Boxee, like FORA.TV, OpenCourseWare, Open University from the UK, TED. Lots of stuff that makes you think rather than just stare

I signed up for early access, I really hope I get it. I’m slowly but surely converting my parents from (overpriced) Directv to Boxee on my AppleTV. Oh, it’s happening, haha

Hey Avner random question, will there be any food at the Boxee event? Just wondering if I should be buying some food to snack on while I’m there.
i don’t think we’ll be able to provide food in the venue. we will suggest some places in the neighborhood. looking into it.
Hi, I tried the alpha (for mac) but couldn’t quite get the idea of it (what it’s best at). However, I’d like to stay with it and learn its functions…so please let me participate in the beta program. Thanks.

Will the beta be available for Linux 64 bit users?
I keep getting a Google docs fail on the form:

Well, the new UI is better organized… but I find interesting the fact that the Boxee logo is still white and “beta” (on the splash screen) is in 4 colors
