  1. Livid says:

IMO any plugin or script that’s simply been ported from XBMC should be disqualified from the dev challenge!

  2. Jose says:

Will boxee get a way to organize all the apps in the App Box, it’s starting to be a jumbled up mess. The apps could use better descriptions in the App Store as well.

  3. Jacob says:

anyClip is a really great concept. Couldn’t imagine ANY clip of ANY movie! Two thumbs up!

  4. Rich says:

I love me some pwndcast. All my dreams come to life in the form of… well, it’s a good show.

I’m hoping to guest star someday (I dunno about star, but maybe just get pwnd).

  5. Peter says:

Ok Guys, I would like to test these apps before I vote. Where do I find the repository?

  6. battie says:

Hulu was my favorite app. :(

  7. Tom says:

I’m glad to see the app store coming alive. I was really hoping to have a SmugMug photo app… Perhaps it will still come.

  8. brklynmark says:

Though Google Videos and Dropboxee are great, I had to vote for WatchUWant due to having real innovation. Nice work guys

  9. brklynmark says:

And I totally meant to say L8R, not WatchUWant. My bad – but nice work too!

  10. srinivas says:

    OPENCOURSEWARE is really cool one.

  11. ignacio says:

    Was good and clean ;)

  12. Nico Janssen says:

Where can these applications be found/downloaded as I have Boxee for ATV?

  13. DeviceGuru says:

would boxee consider dropping the social-network-oriented home screen showing recent activity of the boxee user and friends, in favor of a user configurable favorites page? zeevee zinc does that quite well!

  14. Ken says:

Why isn’t the TWIT Live application left off?

  15. Count Pollen says:

Won’t vote. App choice way too limited, no Mac apps.

  16. Paolo Lodi says:

I would like that Boxee for Mac will be compatible to watch Steeaming TV on iPhone and iPod Touch and also with Miglia TV. I mean to works as Windows version ( or maybe better!)

  17. DJ Lewis says:

    see below

  18. Juan Garcia says:

boxee is a great concept but should be develop further
still buggy but overall its a great software and it looks great

  19. john says:

Since I haven’t received my invite for Boxee for Windows, I can not vote!

  20. David says:

I would like to vote for TWIT. Thanks

  21. Ian says:

I don’t use any of the listed apps.

I go on Revision 3, BBC iPlayer (XBMC plugin) and not much else.

  22. John P says:

I wish that Boxee ran smoother with OS X, and that Apps I didn’t want from “friends” could be more readily removed from my home screen. I also, wish it were just a bit easier to add locations e.g. I really want to add the App for the Hungarian station Papa TV but it doesn’t run in Boxee. That said, I thrive on BBC News Live this is awesome! I doubt that there is a better interface, right now that Boxee for running Cartoons and educational Apps! Who wouldn’t love being a Boxee?

  23. Jaffa says:

I have been looking forward to the Windoze release and cannot wait to see how well Boxee is adopted into the media community. Though I am disappointed the the OpenPandora team did not enter their app.

  24. Oli_Oops says:

I must be a moron because I cannot find 95% of these apps. Maybe it’s because I’m in Canada or maybe its because I’m using the Windows alpha. I will have to reserve my vote until all apps are tested.

    • John Craig says:

I’m right there with ya. I’m on Win Alpha as well, and I check for new apps in the repository every day. The only Video app I recognize is BBC, which doesn’t work. :o (

A Netflix (Watch Instantly) and Pandora app would be the be-all to end-all for Boxee IMHO (for Windows please).

  25. John Ross says:

Oh my fav was the one that allows Boxee to play on WINDOWS…..OH wait thats right they still dont have a windows version out yet.
Been waiting patiently for how long now ??? And you want input ..Fine by me.
My Favorite app is HULU. ^&%*#$ Boxee.

  26. howard says:

    I would love to see:
    a) An across-source show directory.
    b) Playlist view of DVDs on the hard disk instead of a file system view.
    c) A health monitor that restarts boxee when it hangs.
    d) Simplier UI (select media type, see playlist, play media)

  27. Aho says:

oh how I wish boxee would incorporate emulators or properly launching an emulator frontend in some way. thats the only thing keeping me from switching.

  28. Lindsay says:

I didn’t vote for a music app, because I’ve never heard of the ones listed. I was hoping to see Pandora!

  29. Santhosh Koli says:

    Cool App

  30. Santhosh Koli says:

    Nice Buddy

  31. Mikebeuler says:

I was torn between “The Cobra Snake” and “I Can Has Cheezburger?” (I love that site!). Cobra Snake won out in the end.

  32. cbill says:

Do you remember the old picture of the poor kid looking in the window of the bakery shop. Seeing all the delectable goodies but not able to have them?

That is what this is like for many of us Windows users that did not make the Beta cut. Can’t offer any comment because I am not in the “Fortunate Few”. Just hoping the “Windows” version will be solid and out on “Schedule”. Until then I will have to be content with “Hulu”, etc..

    windows users that

  33. Ed Meurer says:

It would be nice to have more PC apps.

  34. Joe Strummer says:

What would be great for Americans would be apps and Boxee relationships that help draw content from parts of the world inaccessible on most cable tv systems. Like Al Jazeera English, British, Australian and foreign language TV, whether its Israeli or French or German or whatever. If Boxee just becomes a way to watch YouTube stuff or Revision3 stuff, ehh.

But if Boxee becomes a way to actually break down the cable monopoly by letting people get content they want, then it would be awesome.

  35. I just wanted to give a shout out to all of the developers who put time and energy into creating an app for Boxee. You’re all winners in my eyes. And while that might be a cheesy comment, it’s 100% accurate.

  36. Ian says:

    Thanks Joe

Im sure all the developers including myself(BBC Live) appreciate what you just said.

  37. Ian says:

Damn comments lol the poster is displayed underneith.

    I meant THANKS PHIL :)

  38. DeviceGuru says:

is a video of the SF meetup available anywhere? short of that, I’d love to have a screenshot of the vastly-revised homescreen for the beta version that’s being worked on
