OpenCourseWare on boxee

the OpenCourseWare App offers video lectures and complete courses from MIT, Stanford University, UC Berkeley and Yale. Roshan Revankar had a chance encounter with one of the lectures and decided to build a boxee app that will bring the full experience into boxee.

i am starting with the Human Computer Interaction Seminar from Stanford. judging by the first lecture it should be a great course.

Roshan Revankar in his own words:

I’m a software developer in Los Angeles. I’ve been itching to work on
a personal project for a long time. For a while, I had my own
homegrown firefox+greasemonkey+remote control solution of watching
hulu and netflix on a mac mini connected to my TV. Until boxee came
along and made the experience so much better and best of all
expandable.

OpenCourseWare is my first boxee app. I came up with the idea after
being sent a link to a lecture and discovering the wealth of material
available. It just made sense to bring it one place.  I wrote most of
it over a weekend and polished it over the last week. The boxee api
makes it very easy to get started. Looking forward to cranking out a
lot more apps.

I watched Sergey Brin talk about China last night.

“How to start a revolution” might be interesting.
