@tempo and @TeddyG from getsatisfaction are putting together a boxee meetup in San Francisco next week. tom, gidon and i are going to be there. come join us, should be fun.
Cancel your cable and learn to love Boxee, the amazing new open source media center that has turned many of us into raving fans. We’ve invited Boxee’s CEO Avner Ronen to do a demo and talk about what’s coming down the pike, and some of us will show off our own custom rigs that are allowing us to hack the platform, mash-in the Internet and free our minds from the tyranny of the entertainment industrial complex. Amongst other things, we’ll show how we’re using iphones as all-in-one remotes, over-the-air free HDTV to get live and local broadcasts, torrents to keep up with favorite shows, and god knows what else.
